Berkeley, CA--Sweet Potatoes, Inc. is proud to announce that it has entered into an exciting new partnership with New York sweater designer Ruth Hornbein to produce and distribute her collections throughout the United States at affordable prices.

For years the highly regarded Ruth Hornbein has had a loyal following in select regional markets. Her sweaters have particularly been a favorite among celebrity shoppers in the New York region. Ms. Hornbein stresses detail in her knitted pockets in order to capture the full essence of each design. She says, "It is important that my sweaters have an emotional impact on the buyer. If my assistant doesn't gasp when I show her a new design, then I know that I still don't quite have it right."

Sweet Potatoes will begin to offer her collections this month as part of our own Fall '97 line. It includes wonderful and whimsical ramie/cotton cardigans in a full palette of colors for boys and girls, 12m to size 7. The infant cardigans have adorable animal pockets. The boys cardigans and pullovers are in a variety of sport themes. All styles combine Ruth's signature style and flair.
